Alexis graduated from University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science in nursing. She began her career in primary care with a focus on Preventative Health and Wellness. In 2011, she began working at Christiana Care Health Systems on the MICU step-down unit for 2 years before moving to PACU. Alexis earned her Master of Science in nursing leadership from Wilmington University in 2014 and has spent the past three years developing her leadership skills as an RNIII and Assistant Nurse Manager.
Alexis started as a school nurse in an independent school in Delaware 4 years ago (GO HILLERS)! School nursing has been the greatest joy she has every experienced in her profession. She enjoys interacting with the students and the autonomy in this area of nurse. She loves the opportunity to teach the students and engage in discussion that promotes wellness and healthy lifestyles. She also enjoys being a member of the communication committee for the Delaware School Nurse Association.
In her spare time, Alexis can often be found around campus and out of the athletic field cheering on her student athletes. She also enjoys spending time with her family, camping and traveling, and she has a lifelong love of women's gymnastics.
