(rescheduled from 3/26)
This session will address data collection, both the Oregon Acuity process and the NASN Every Student Counts data project. Gathering data is essential to tell our school nursing story. The NASN Workforce study notes regional differences and rural disparities in access to school nursing; access decreases the further west and more rural students live. This means that it is even more essential that western states with large rural areas, especially those states like Oregon with limited school nursing resources, provide data about their practices. We can not fully understand the unique challenges school nurses face in the west, especially in rural areas, without collecting data. Attend the Mentoring Monday in March to learn more about how you can support these data collection efforts.
Mentoring Monday: (4th Monday @3:30-5:00): This CoP is an informal teaching workshop which addresses clinical topics and provides us with a forum to share some tools for school nurse best practice. Generally there will be a presentation, including time for Q&A followed by time to explore resources.
