Job Opportunity: Project Coordinator

By Wendy Niskanen, MEd, RN posted 02-18-2022 14:09

Hello Nurses,

This is the first posting to fill a position for implementation of the grant from OHA. This Project Coordinator is a non-nursing position. Please reach out to Wendy Niskanen (wniskanen.osna@gmail.com) for a copy of the job description.

Using the resources provided by a grant from the Oregon Health Authority, school nurses will develop toolkits and other resources for school nurses. The process for this work will include collaboration with partners (school health consumers/constituents, education partners, healthcare partners, other community partners). With this input, school nurse work groups will develop toolkits for specific medical conditions and nursing processes, align school nurse scope and standards to the Oregon Nurse Practice Act, and revise the School Nurse Manual. The Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and handling day-to-day activities, program implementation, and scheduling including workgroup meetings and outreach events with our partners.  This will include working with consultants and community partners. This is a remote position; though there may be some limited in-person events associated with this work.

Anyone interested should complete the OSNA Project Coordinator Contractor Application Form. BEFORE doing so, they should have a resume prepared for upload and the contact information (phone and email) for 2 references, as both of these are required to complete the application. This posting will stay open until March 4, 2022.

Please share this information with anyone who may be a good fit for this opportunity!
