March 17, 2020
The Oregon School Nurses Association looks forward every year to bringing nurses together from around the state at our two-day spring conference. The spring conference has traditionally allowed Oregon’s nurses to come together in person to learn, network, and collaborate. We regret to inform you, however, that due to current guidance on social distancing, which OSNA fully supports and encourages, we will not be able to hold our in-person conference at the Oregon Gardens on April 16th and 17th, 2020 as originally planned.
Our yearly spring conference helps to fulfill OSNA’s mission of providing leadership and professional development opportunities to advance school nursing practice by offering engaging educational sessions delivered by speakers who are regional experts in their fields and topics. While we will deeply miss seeing you all in person, we want you to know that we are actively exploring the feasibility of offering our spring 2020 conference sessions in a webinar format so that Oregon’s nurses in the school setting still receive the professional development necessary to ensure that they are the expert voice for optimal student health. We will keep you all updated as decisions are made, once we hear from all of our presenters and partners.
If you reserved a room at the Oregon Gardens or another local hotel, please be sure to call the location to cancel your reservation.
Thank you for all that you continue to do for Oregon’s school communities.
