NEWER NURSES: REGISTRATION CLOSING SOON. ​Statewide School Nurse Orientation is coming up next Wednesday, October 14th. Sessions are available 8am-10:30am, or 11am-1:30pm. The 2.5-hour workshop sessions focus on the unique role of RNs in the school setting, and include brief presentations, small-group discussion, and Q&A. All RNs working in Oregon schools are welcome to attend, with priority given to those in their sites less than 2 years.

EXPERIENCED NURSES: APPLICATION CLOSING SOON. The ODE School Nurse Advisory Group application is open for 2020-2021. A key function of SNAG is to advise ODE on state-wide regulations and resources related to school nursing. SNAG members undertake actions such as reviewing school health legislation, advising School Nurse Orientation workshops, and developing or revising guidance documents released by ODE. The total time commitment expected of members is approximately 8-10 hours per month. Applicants will be notified October 15th.
